Formula 1 and Moto GP: Don't miss a moment of the action with these top-rated apps

MotoGP and Formula 1 are the two most important motorcycle and car competitions worldwide in which the best open wheel and motorcycle racers compete in different Grand Prix throughout the season. And all the action from both competitions can be enjoyed live in the United States through FuboTV.

The first of the drivers to compete in both categories was Nello Pagani. He may have been the first champion in MotoGP history, but the points system of that inaugural season counted only the 3 best results achieved by each rider, nullifying the points obtained in other races. In Formula he only competed in two Grand Prix in 1950: the Pau GP and the Swiss GP, before returning to motorcycles.

Formula 1 and Moto GP: Best apps to follow the new season!

The 2019 MotoGP and Formula 1 World Championship season has finally started and motor racing fans are looking forward to enjoying all the races on their TV, smartphones and tablets. However, since Sky and BT Sport has acquired exclusive rights for these races between them, these kinds of events can only be enjoyed live on paid platforms. However, you should not throw in the towel just yet. There are several alternative ways to watch.

A popular app throughout the season, Freader1 is a news aggregator app that helps separate the clickbait from the good stuff. By collating all of the best stories from popular websites, users can access a comprehensive selection of stories from reputable sources all in one place. The app recommends YouTube videos, too. In terms of its design, Freader1 isn't the best app you'll ever see, but it provides a brilliant service.

The 1954 Grand Prix season was the new 2.5-litre Formula One and had attracted interest from some major players. Lancia had joined the fray with their D50, and Daimler-Benz were back; the appearance of Lancia meant that there were three Italian teams competing at the highest level, the others being Ferrari and Maserati. The British were catered for by the Owen Racing Organisation with their BRMs, the Vanwall of Tony Vandervell and Connaught still competing, while Cooper-Bristol were not to be forgotten. At the start of the season, Mercedes-Benz had swept all before them, but Silverstone was a débâcle for the team, which returned to Untertürkheim in defeat. The 263 miles (423 km) race was won by González from Hawthorn in the works 625s, with Onofre Marimón third in the works Maserati 250F. The best Mercedes driver was pole-man Fangio in his W196.[11]

For 1958 drastic rule changes were introduced into Formula One, Fangio had retired and Maserati had withdrawn due to financial difficulties. Throughout the season the battle was between Ferrari and Vanwall and it was fervently hoped that Vandervell would success at home but it was not to be; the green cars fell apart, Stuart Lewis-Evans the best placed finisher in fourth. Victory went to Collins from Hawthorn, both driving Ferrari Dino 246s. The crowd of 120,000 witnessed a trio of British drivers on the podium with Roy Salvadori coming home third in one of John Cooper's Coventry-Climax rear-engined powered cars.[11]

International motor racing at Silverstone is not concerned solely to Formula One, however, and 1976 saw one of the closest finished in endurance racing during the Silverstone Six-Hour race, which was a round of the World Championship for Makes. The series was almost a German benefit that season as the main contenders were the Porsche 935s and BMW 3-litre CSLs (common known as the 'Batmobiles'). Porsche had had the upper hand in the opening rounds of the series, but at Silverstone things were different. John Fitzpatrick and Tom Walkinshaw kept their BMW ahead to win by 197 yd (180 m) (1.18secs) from the Bob Wollek/Hans Heyer Porsche 935 Turbo. Third was a Porsche 934 Turbo in the hands of Leo Kinnunen and Egon Evertz.[11]

The 1994 F3000 race was an all Reynard 94D affair. The 38-lap race was won by Franck Lagorce winning at 119.512 mph (192.336 km/h), from Coulthard and de Ferran. The race distance for the following season had increased by two. Victorious on this occasion was Riccardo Rosset driving Super Nova's Reynard-Cosworth AC 95D. His teammate Vincenzo Sospiri finished second, while Allan McNish was third in a Zytek-Judd KV-engined 95D.[11]

Updated 15:00 Friday 14th May 2021. With new travel restrictions in place in the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the Turkish Grand Prix, originally scheduled for 13th June, has been cancelled. In order to avoid a three week gap between the race in Baku on 6th June and France on 27th June, the French GP has been moved to 20th June. In order to maintain a 23-race F1 season there will now be a Styrian GP in Austria on 27th June, followed one week later by the Austrian GP on 4th July as planned.

The annual end-of-season test, which will conclude on Wednesday with the final day of track action for 2021, is taking place amid continued controversy for the sport following an Abu Dhabi conclusion and result that Mercedes have lodged an intention to appeal.

Along with criticism for the Australian, who replaced Charlie Whiting following his passing on the eve of the 2019 season, there has been empathy - insisting he needs more help, much like Whiting received when he was in charge.

The circuit hosted the first race only five days after the inauguration. It was a round of the Spanish Touring Car Championship, while the first Formula Grand Prix was staged a few weeks later, on 29 September. The MotoGP Grand Prix was included the following season into the sports calendar of the Circuit. Since then, the Circuit has hosted every year, without break, the Spanish F1 Grand Prix and the Catalan MotoGP Grand Prix, two of the most prestigious championships of motor sports, which are now joined by the FIA Rallycross World Championship and the FIM Superbike World Championship.

The race season of Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya does also include other international Championships such as the FIM CEV Repsol International Championship, the Barcelona Speed Festival or the International GT Open; endurance races like the 24 Horas de Catalunya de Motociclismo, the 24H de Barcelona-Trofeo Fermí Vélez and the CER (Spanish Endurance Sup); as well as local events that promote the sports, like the Catalan Car Racing and Motorcycling Championships. With the staging of the F1 Grand Prix, the MotoGP Grand Prix, the Rallycross World Championship, the WorldSBK and other important motor sport competitions in its sports calendar, Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya showcases its own name and that of Montmeló, Barcelona and Catalonia at a worldwide level. 2ff7e9595c
